so i love markiplier and i think what people are doing is taking his words out of context. like yes, i think the video is somewhat ignorant of normalized abuse against women in domestic relationships. however, i do believe the context was about how men in society cant protect themselves from their legitimately abusive spouses. im the last person to stand up for “mens rights” or something, but men can be and are abuse victims as well, and we shouldnt ignore that.
it should also be noted that mark continued to say, i dont think any of it is right, i dont think anyone should hit anybody. dont hit each other. i think the other guy who was on the stream with him was somewhat problematic but i dont think marks intention was to belittle women in domestic abuse situations since the story in question was about a man getting abused.
